We've been enjoying taking pictures of bugs this summer. It is very curious to notice the difference in color and size of the dragonflies here in Massachusetts in contrast to the once in Maine. Details in their eyes and specially in their wings is fascinating. The challenge is that having to position the lens so close to the bug, any movement of the lens, the animal or the plant where they stand is magnified. So a lot of patience is required as well as enough speed to be able to freeze the action.
