With the freezing temperatures we had in January it was not really possible to enjoy snow as we like. We couldn't wait to go sledding. Fortunately for us, this past weekend temperatures were much better. We had a lot of fun.
As I wrote in my previous post, the mood of the landscape is completely different with today's snow storm.
This winter has been particularly cold. Yesterday morning when we learned that schools where closed due to the snow, we though we were going to spend a lot of time playing outside. I kept checking the temperature all morning long. Later in the afternoon we bundled up, took the sled and went out. I don't thing we were out for more than 15 minutes. It was so cold that when I suggested to go back inside, the kids didn't complain. They were done playing in the snow, which is rare. But is understandable with temperatures in the single digits. I wished it hadn't been that cold. We really enjoy the snow.
In my previous post I talked about Isabella experiencing the snow for the first time. Today she had the oportunity to go sledding, she played a lot more in the snow and made her first snow angel. I am pretty sure this is going to be a unforgetable vacation for her.
