8 things I’ve learned about my profile pictures from Luis at LUPA PHOTOGRAPHY:
Like so many of us who have to keep up our social media profiles for professional reasons, I have taken a selfie or two.
I thought they were OK but here is what I learned about my photos:
1.) taken too casually (not professional) from my phone and even when I used my own DSLR I always
2.) came out 2D, two dimensional (flat, no depth, uninteresting)
3.) washed out, (overexposed, no color, boring)
4.) stereotypically ‘mugshot’ (unfocused, indistinct face of Everyman!) and
5.) included every single blemish my Irish skin has in digitally enhanced evidence! (YUK!)

I was so disappointed with my efforts at a usable profile picture that when Luis offered to help me with my LinkedIn head-shot I quickly took him up on it. I’ve worked along-side Luis for many years and can attest: he is so very detail-oriented! Just sitting for the shot and watching him work his magic was inspiring!

So here are some other things I learned:
6.) a professional is always able to set up a STUDIO ANYWHERE.
Luis has worked all over the Boston/MetroWest area in restaurants, corporate centers and public spaces galore!
7.) Light and light availability are the art and soul of photography. Luis is an artist with light!
8.) One must have PASSION for great art and great work in order to make one’s efforts grow and thrive! Luis exhibits this quality in everything he does and creates. His business has been growing strong and quickly since our by-gone days at the Bose Corporation.

I recently hired Luis for my head shots. Not only did he take the time to address my wants and needs, he listened, gave input, and made it fun. Very reasonable. I would highly recommend him and Lupa!!!!!

Paulina and Luis, of Lupa Photography, recently photographed our wedding and were an absolute pleasure to work with! They were incredibly accommodating both day-of and in the time leading up to the wedding. When the winter weather meant we wouldn’t be able to make it to our first meeting, they were happy to accommodate via phone. Then, after our in-person meeting where we booked the wedding, they were again happy to accommodate our busy schedules and meet via video-chat to iron out the final details. On the day-of, they were able to capture the large family groupings that were very important to us, as well as couple shots of me and my husband-to-be. Our goal was to have photos of our loved ones that captured the “joy” of the day, and Lupa Photography definitely delivered us many photos absolutely filled with “joy”!

Paulina at Lupa Photography is wonderful. She is professional yet kind and warm. She takes the extra step of meeting with you before your session to make sure she understands your wants and needs. Instead of just emailing your completed photos, she will meet with you to show you everything, explain what she did and make sure you’re 100% satisfied. She won’t stop until she knows you are happy. I would highly recommend her.

Lupa Photography is amazing! Paulina and Luis have taken my all time favorite pictures of my kids. They capture each child’s personality in their candids. Paulina also just did a headshot of me for my new website. In one hour, I had an amazing, natural, flattering picture!

Paulina & Luis have done a couple of photo shoots for us, and they all came out wonderfully! Most recently they ran a special deal for Christmas card photos, where they gave you one photo on disk that you could do what you want with. We got so many compliments on our photo! They are also lovely to work with and very good with the kids.
